Horrible Bosses

American film comedy continues to remain at the high standard set by Appatow and Phillips in the recent years. ‘Horrible Bosses’, consisting of a stellar supporting cast of A listers  (Spacey, Aniston and Farrell), doesn’t disappoint for even the most avid of comedy watchers. At times, the humour can seem a little overt and forced, as if desperately striving for an audience laugh at all times. But overall the comedy remains well scripted and clever, with some great character sketches…Farrell being the prime example here, who’s neatly combed over barnet paired with his passion for kung fu and chinese dragons develops a character that needs a little more screen time than he’s actually given. Spacey, is perhaps the strongest actor amongst the cast, and does tend to have the ability to overshadow his fellow cast members with his dead pan delivery and his occasional bursts of extreme anger. However Bateman, Day and Sudeikis have great comedic chemistry as your average American workers who go in way over their heads as they plot murder. Definitely worth a watch if you’re fond and familiar with the American comedy hits such as ‘The Hangover’ & ‘Superbad’.
